Day 1
Meet the company representative who will transfer you to the proposed accommodation. If you arrive early you may go for a city tour to check out some of the nice places in Kampala. This will mark the start of the 10 Days Exploring Uganda Safari. Places include, the Bahai temple, Uganda Museum, Kasubi tombs and many more. Dinner and overnight in Serena / Botanical hotel
Day 2
You will leave Kampala, very early in the morning after for Lake Mburo NP. You will stop at the equator for photographs and then proceed to reach in the afternoon. Lake Mburo is one of the easily accessible parks compared to others with species such as Zebra, Impala, Eland and other savannah species and birds like African Fin foot, Papyrus, Bush Shrike, etc. You will go for an evening game drive or canoe ride. Dinner and overnight at Mantana Tented Camp/Muhingo Lodge (High end/luxurious accommodation), or UWA’s Tents.
Day 3
Have break fast to game drive enroute as you drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The park is known to harbour half of the world’s endangered mountain gorillas. It is situated in a hilly country side, together with some remnant lowland forest outside the boundary. You will reach Bwindi late in the afternoon. You may go for a welcome entertainment in some of the cultural dances of the surrounding communities. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla resort or Buhoma community Bandas.
Day 4
Have breakfast to transfer to the park headquarters for briefing before setting off to the forest in search for gorillas. The guide will brief you and at 9:00 am you will set off to the forest for these apes. The time you will take searching these humble apes in unpredictable however, it ranges between 2-9 hours depending on their movement. The activity requires you to go through steep rocks climbing up and down making it tiresome. However, the thrill of encountering these giant primates erases the poor memories you went through in trying to find them. Dinner and over night at Gorilla Resort / Buhoma homestead.
Day 5
Have breakfast to leave for Queen Elizabeth National Park having a game drive enroute to enter the park through the Ishasha sector. You will reach in the afternoon and then go for an evening game drive to see game like buffaloes, bush bucks, bush pigs, Deffassa waterbucks, monkeys and many more. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Institute of ecology.
Day 6
Take a cup of Tea before dawn if you want, to go for a game drive and catch up with the early risers, and predators trying to get back to their hide outs. This drive will reward you with game like Lions, hyenas, water bucks, bush babies, buffaloes, elephants, Uganda Kob, many antelopes and others. You will retire from the game drive for late breakfast and lunch at the Lodge. After lunch you will go for launch cruise on the Kazinga channel that will recompense you with game like Buffaloes, hippos and birds. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Institute of ecology.
Day 7
You will have breakfast to transfer to Kibale NP. This journey will take you through Fort portal. The district lies amidst the great mountains of the moon offering you beautiful sceneries. You will reach the lodge in the afternoon to go Track chimpanzee in the afternoon. This will help you view other primates too like the Mangabeys, colobus monkeys, bush babies baboons and many more. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge/Primate Lodge/Rwenzori View Guest house/ Kanyankyu Ecological site.
Day 8
Have breakfast to transfer to Murchison Falls NP. You will reach the park in the afternoon to drive directly to the top of the falls where the park derives its name and the Nile its beauty. Here you will see the calm Nile forcing its self through a narrow gorge to fall a distance of about 150 ft down producing a thunderous roar of white water- incredible scenery! You will then be transferred to board the jetty to Paraa Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 9
Take a cup of tea and go for a game drive before dawn to catch up with predators and early risers. This early morning game drive will reward you with game like jackals, hyenas, giraffe, lion, antelope, elephant, and the Uganda kob and many more. You will retire from the game drive for late breakfast and lunch and then in the afternoon you will go for a launch cruise on the Victoria Nile. The boat trip will take you to the bottom of the falls where you will view animals like the buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, elephants and plenty of water birds like fish eagles and rare shoebills and many more. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/ Red Chilli.
Day 10
Early in the morning have breakfast and then drive back to Kampala and have a stop at the Royal drum makers to have a look at the local methods of drum making that have been adopted for generations. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Africana / Serena hotel. Contact Us for a Quote
